Complete (almost) 1790 Virginia Tax List Census (Does not include any Kentucky counties) This is a BETA RELEASE. It is missing Berkeley and Hampshire Counties from West Virginia. When complete, an upgraded disc including these two counties may be purchased for $5.00. This data DVD contains digital scans directly from microfilm or from photocopies of microfilm images. A master index (85,752 entries) of all counties is provided with each name linking to the original tax list image. The DVD includes 79 counties, 7 independent cities, and 181 tax lists. The most legible tax lists +/- a few years of the census date have been selected for this reconstruction.
