You found an error. Please send us an
email. What do we need to know?
Incorrect name - It can be
very difficult to transcribe old handwriting. Mistakes will happen. When you
find a transcription error please send us an email and indicate the specific
county tax list, page number, the erred transcribed name and the correct
transcribed name.
Note: We
transcribe and index only what the record indicates and not what the name
"should be". If you know the name really is "Watson" but the tax list shows it
written as "Wattsen" then we will not change the index to read "Watson".
Spelling was a phonetic art in the days of old and many clerks had many ways to
spell the same name.
Missing name - Sometimes we
overlook a name when we transcribe the indexes. If you found your individual in
the images but not in the index please send us an email and indicate the
specific county tax list, page number and the missing transcribed name.
Bad file - Once in a while the
internet will "hiccup" and a file gets corrupted during an FTP upload. If you
find a file or web page that shows an error or looks scrambled please send us
an email and indicate which file or web page you were trying to access. We will
determine exactly what is wrong and take the necessary corrective
action.
Missing page - Occassionally
we have goofed and typed a web page name incorrectly or forgot to upload a web
page or file to our web site. If you find a file or web page that is missing
please send us an email and indicate which file or web page you were trying to
access. We will upload the missing file as soon as we can.
